Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and discovered her love for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition she was ranked among the top two athletes at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then attended the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world in the 200m. The following year, she defended the title against her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes at her particular events.
